Betting the farm in your 20s
There is nothing in this world that will teach you more about life than going all-in in an endeavor and getting absolutely smoked.
The reason why I say in your 20s is because this is usually a time when people have little to no dependents.
A time where your only responsibility is making sure you survive this adventure you’re on.
Even if you get blown out multiple times, the amount of confidence and swagger that you accumulate from getting up each and every day is revitalizing.
Sick to your stomach with the horrors of yesterday you can hold your head up high knowing that you survived the impossible and you’re here to try again and again and again until it works out.
Sometimes I think how lucky I am to have such a ginormous problem at my feet that I need to accomplish.
How deep down most people would love to face such a challenge of their own but are too scared of the unknown and transformation process that comes with it.
Living life in this way provides some type of divine protection against the smaller ailments of life that take down most people.
I am stressed out the wazoo but I never get sick, never have pain, ailments, always have unlimited energy.
The correct word for this is vitality but I think the universe knows that I have such an important task I need to accomplish that it wouldn’t dare to think about hindering me from doing so.
The adventure is tough, it’s brutal. It will leave you speechless at times, questioning humanity, testing your sanity. But you know that it’s impossible to fail, because you will never quit.
And the nutty part about all of this is that once you do reach the other side, you’re going to yearn for the days where you were in the thick of it.
Ill leave you with something profound as always…
I think it was Hemingway that said something along the lines of:
“Life breaks almost everybody, and the ones that allow life to break them are the fortunate ones. Because when life breaks you, you grow back in places where you were broken. On the flip side, the unfortunate ones are the ones that never get broken by life, because life kills them instead.”
If you never allow life to break you, you get killed instead.
Sit on that one for a second…
